　Recently, when I bought children's clothing in a large shopping mall, I found that the national safety standard marked on some children's wear labels has been changed from the original GB18401 to GB31701. It is reported that GB31701-2015 "infant and child textile product safety technical specification" applies to infants aged 36 months or less, and 3-14 year olds wear textile products. According to the safety requirements of different categories of products, the safety technology is divided into A, B, C three, infant textile products should meet the requirements of a request, direct contact with the skin of children textile products should at least meet B requirements, non direct contact with the skin of children to textile products should comply with the C requirements. 

　The safety of textiles for infants and children has been paid much attention to. According to the Xiamen Dongdu inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the national standard "mandatory infant and child safety technical code for textile products" (GB31701 - 2015), is China's first textile products specifically for infants and children (children) mandatory national standards. On the basis of GB18401's basic safety technical specification for national textile products, the standard further improves the safety requirements of infants and children's textile products. In the chemical safety requirements, increase the limit requirements of 6 kinds of plasticizer and lead and cadmium in 2 kinds of heavy metals; mechanical safety standards for children's wear, neck, shoulder, waist and other different parts of the rope made detailed provisions, requirements of infants and children under 7 years old clothing head and neck does not allow any rope. The standard also stipulates the textile accessories, and the appendages should have a certain tensile strength, and the sharp edge and sharp edge should not exist. In addition, the standard also increases the requirements of combustion performance. GB31701-2015 standard for safety technical specifications for infant and child textiles has been officially implemented in June 1, 2016, but this standard gives a two-year implementation transition period (June 1, 2016 to May 31, 2018). During the transition period, June 1, 2016 before the production and meet the requirements of relevant standards are allowed to continue to sell in the market since June 1, 2018, the market for all related products must meet the requirements of this standard. The standard will help guide the production enterprises to improve the safety and quality of children's wear, and protect the health and safety of infants and children. 

　It is noteworthy that GB31701 is applicable to children and children's textiles sold in our country. Here, Xiamen inspection and Quarantine Bureau reminds infants and children textile importers to know our mandatory product standards in time, and children's clothing imported to China must meet the standards.
